What Youll Do
- System Integration & Optimization: Work closely with both Weapon Material Program and IT teams to identify implement and optimize software and hardware solutions for Weapon Material Program processes.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide first-line technical support for Weapon Material Program-specific Information Technology (IT) issues STORY development Support Pack Testing SCRUM meetings to ensure timely resolution.
- Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Translate Weapon Material Program operational needs into clear technical requirements for the IT department and document Weapon Material Program IT systems and processes.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate IT-related projects impacting Weapon Material Program ensuring minimal disruption and successful implementation.
- Communication & Collaboration: Foster strong relationships between the Weapon Material Program and IT departments facilitating clear and effective communication on all technical matters.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer: Provide training to Weapon Material Program staff on new systems and tools and ensure knowledge transfer between departments.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of Weapon Material Program- critical IT systems and proactively identify areas for improvement or potential issues.
- Security & Compliance: Assist in ensuring that Weapon Material Program IT systems adhere to relevant security policies and compliance standards.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree with: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. (Typical experience ranging from 4 to 7 years.)
- OR Masters Degree with: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
- OR Applicants without a Bachelors Degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 10 years of completed education and/or relevant experience.

Preferred Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in computer science/engineering discipline with minimum 2 years relevant experience.
- Experience with System Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) and Windchill.
- Experience in a software development systems engineering or IT support role.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python PowerShell).
- Familiarity with database systems (e.g. Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Understanding of network fundamentals and IT infrastructure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive and detail-oriented with a strong focus on operational efficiency.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Certifications in relevant IT or project management fields.
- Prior experience in a liaison or cross-functional role.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph pursuant to 10 CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
