Role Summary / Purpose
Structural Engineer IV
100% Remote position
Work schedule: M-F
Seeking a Civil Engineering professional with experience in the nuclear power generation industry to support advanced structural analysis activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tasks and experience with specialized engineering tools. This role requires a solid foundation in seismic engineering and finite element methods to support complex project needs in a dynamic work environment
Essential Responsibilities
- Analysis of structures including concrete and steel use of finite element method analyses.
- Working with the following codes preferred: ASCE 43 ASCE 4 ACI 349 & 318 ASCE 7 IBC and AISC N690 Steel Construction Manual and Seismic Design Manual.
Qualifications / Requirements
Education:BachelorsCivil Engineering degree
- MUST HAVE:Proficiency in ANSYS APDL is required.
MUST HAVE:Civil Engineering exp
- Proficiency in Seismic structural analyses
- Computer programing skills (e.g. Matlab or Python) is not required but preferred.
- Proficiency in concrete steel and composite structures analysis and design
- AISC/ N690 experience is a preferred
- P.E. (US candidates) P. Eng. (Canada candidates) certification preferred
