Job Summary

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Delivery and Operations Manager for a full-time contract position. This role offers a daily rate and involves overseeing the delivery and operational structure of complex software engineering projects within a cloud-native private cloud environment. Operating at the intersection of DevOps leadership and technical delivery the successful candidate will ensure that products transition smoothly from architectural design to timely delivery maintaining high availability for critical infrastructure services.

Language & Location: Fluent English (both spoken and written) is required. This is the only mandatory language requirement for this role though fluency in German or Ukrainian is preferred. The position is primarily remote with only occasional onsite visits to Germany.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Coordination: Structure and coordinate operational activities to ensure the timely delivery of products aligning engineering output with product management specifications and architectural designs.
Project Planning & Tracking: Develop comprehensive project plans monitor progress and track all activities within the product line to maintain alignment with objectives and timelines.
Release & Dependency Management: Proactively oversee and manage technical dependencies by coordinating with architecture product management and DevOps teams.
Quality & Risk Management: Consult with QA teams to enforce quality assurance measures identify process improvements and proactively mitigate risks that could impact project execution.
Process Optimisation: Analyse current software development processes provide recommendations for optimisation and lead the technical implementation of new solutions.
DevOps Migration: Consult on the migration of existing DevOps tools to modern solutions and conceptualise workshops to help teams adapt to new ways of working.
Incident & Change Management: Validate and triage incidents include classification and triage and report against operational targets (SLAs).

Requirements

Experience: Extensive experience as a senior-level professional in delivery and operations management specifically within private cloud environments.

Technical Proficiency: Highly proficient in managing Kubernetes delivery and integrating services on-platform including CI/CD processes and GitOps.

Agile Delivery: Proven project experience in software engineering within agile settings focusing on release management and structuring timelines.

Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to act as a central interface between diverse stakeholder groups in complex project environments.

Infrastructure Background: Proven project experience working with critical infrastructure providers that require high availability and on-premise private cloud solutions.

Operational Expertise: Direct experience performing operations tasks including incident problem and change management.

Technical Knowledge: A broad understanding of cloud services (AWS GCP or Azure) IAM RBAC and observability/monitoring tools.

Language Skills: Fluent English is required. Proficiency in both speech and writing in German or Ukrainian is preferred.

Eligibility: Residency in the EU EEC UK or Switzerland.
