The Associate Content Engineer plays a vital role in helping partners produce Dolby-enabled content supporting consumer adoption of Dolby-integrated products. By expanding the creation of content in Dolby formats this position ensures post-production teams are equipped with the skills to deliver outstanding Dolby Vision experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enable facilities to produce Dolby Vision content and train users on Dolby tools.
- Provide Tier 1 support to post-production facilities and OTT partners.
- Conduct workshops training sessions create documentation and promote HDR knowledge industry-wide including at trade shows and events.
Focused on India and MENA within Dolbys Commercial Partnerships (CP) group this role reports to the Content Engineer India and supports content creation partners.
Required Skills and Education:
- Bachelors degree or similar (Film & Television Arts Physics Engineering Technology Mathematics Computer Science etc.) or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in video post-production color grading mastering editing VFX.
- Hands on experience with Resolve Baselight Clipster Transkoder preferred.
- Familiarity on video signal cables (HDMI BNC & etc..) professional reference monitors SDR/HDR (Sony EIZO & etc..) and Video I/O cards (Blackmagic design AJA etc..).
- Knowledge of color science and workflows like Dolby Vision/HDR Digital & Cinema.
- Familiarity on the content deliverable formats to the OTT platforms like JioHotstar NETFLIX Prime Video Sony Liv ZEE5 etc.
- Familiarity on standards like SMPTE DCI ITU-R and other broadcast and digital media.
- The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to be a proven team player with strong work and business ethics and seek to be part of a high-performance team that is growing and desires to do the best work possible. The role requires the ability to document and write structured reports.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams both functionally and geographically.
- It is vital that applicant can quickly and thoroughly learn a variety of technical topics in a short time.
- Self-motivated self-assured person with aptitude to interface with personnel across the customer engineering organizations.
- Experience in training people on new software and/or hardware. Including developing a training curriculum and conducting classes or webinars.
- The ability to explain complicated technical concepts in clear concise everyday language as well as get deeply technical and communicate with engineers and product managers.
- Good relations and contacts within the production and post-production community will be an added advantage.
The position is based in Mumbai and may require regular domestic travel and some international travel.
