Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the GWO Confirmations - Securities Settlements team globally ensuring specific individual goals plans initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the teams business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted follow governing regulations internal policies and procedures.
Accountability
Ensure the timely accurate execution of the full settlement lifecycle across markets.
Ensures timely confirmation of trades by tracking unmatched transactions across the unit & proactively analyzing/addressing root causes.
Provides insight and support to management during planning organizing and successful implementation of projects affecting the units operations.
Proactively supports management efforts to monitor group activity to ensure internal control procedures remain effective are understood and adhered to.
Supports management efforts to motivate staff increase individual performance execute a robust training schedule and assign workstation responsibilities fairly.
Ensure a high degree of operational efficiency processing accuracy and conformity to Bank regulation
Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas while ensuring the adequacy adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk regulatory compliance risk AML/ATF risk and conduct risk including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Champions a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts retains develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment communicating vision/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
2-3 years of experience in financial services ideally within reconciliation procedures.
2-3 years Capital Markets industry experience/knowledge; ideally within Securities Settlements.
Experience in securities settlements across multiple asset classes and markets.
Strong knowledge of global settlement systems (such as DTC Euroclear and Clearstream) deep understanding of regulatory frameworks (SEC rules CSDR SWIFT/ISO standards) and proven ability to resolve settlement exceptions manage fails and coordinate with brokers custodians and optimize settlement processes in a highpressure timesensitive environment.
Excellent technical skills (VBA SQL PowerBi Python R). Nice to have
English level B2
