Job Summary
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager the Buyer position responsible for managing supplier relationships negotiating prices and maintaining inventory levels to support efficient manufacturing operations. Additional duties include best practice & communication methods for re-orders quality rejects while simultaneously building and maintaining relationships with internal customers. This dynamic position will coordinate his/her efforts with Operations from Receiving to Shipping to expedite & ensure seamless execution and customer centric across the different commodities added to the workload.
Qualifications :
- Two years of post-secondary education
- Minimum of two years of experience in operations or purchasing role
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to promote communication and positive working relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing agreements.
- Knowledge of window and door manufacturing processes and materials considered an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
