General objective:
This position is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of truck reception and associated systems; the accuracy of all weighbridge data; maintaining order operating standards and the proper functioning of the weighbridge; and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. The position also serves as a point of contact for customers and maintains appropriate and well-organized documentation as well as proper stock management.
Main responsibilities:
Perform operations safely by following procedures using appropriate PPE and making recommendations for improvement.
Fill out the logbook and provide advice on quality and performance issues as well as on machine maintenance and defects and also deviations from standard machine performance levels if necessary.
Organize the safe reception of flatbed trucks trailers and tankers on site and operate the weighbridge.
Ensure that carriers comply with company policies or procedures regarding the transit or delivery of products.
Verify that seals comply with the information marked on the trucks waybill.
Take samples in accordance with standards.
Perform physical and chemical analyses of samples.
Ensure that the product complies with quality hygiene and safety standards.
Communicate the results to operations managers.
Keep laboratory data up to date and ensure traceability (counter-analysis weekly data monthly data etc.).
Ensure the calibration and maintenance of first-level equipment.
Search trucks for counterweights or anomalies that could lead to weight fraud.
Accurately record the weight appropriate documents and collect the drivers identification.
Immediately report any non-compliant vehicles or products that may be contaminated or damaged to the relevant manager.
Receive the waybill from the truck driver and keep the final copy of the waybill for the rest of the procedure.
Ensure that the vehicles are correctly positioned before and during weighing.
Weigh incoming trucks at the entry/exit point ensuring the accuracy of the relevant details in the appropriate module depending on the product being weighed.
Avoid any weighing errors.
Immediately report any anomalies/errors in the weighing system to the appropriate personnel.
Provide a weighing ticket indicating the gross weight or an unloading notice indicating the net weight.
Perform any other tasks assigned by the office operator.
Keep the stock register and weighbridge data. This document should not be interpreted as an exhaustive list of all the responsibilities duties and skills required of employees assigned to this position.
Reconcile your inventory with the data from the operating offices gauges.
Use equipment in a manner that safely achieves performance efficiency and quality objectives.
Regularly monitor the status of field operations to optimize product quality performance station operation and functionality.
Supervise the entire fleet and operations to ensure a continuous flow of trucks and monitor lift times.
Supervise the operation of all weighbridge equipment to ensure efficient bin handling.
Monitor and verify the physical condition of field operations and take appropriate action when corrections are necessary recording accurate and detailed information in the logbook.
Record weights and product types per vehicle and truck by completing the appropriate documents and collecting signatures from drivers etc. for accounting purposes; update the eTMS system accordingly.
Compare physical stocks and weighbridge and ensure within acceptable shrink for terminal
Send on daily basis the stocks for both solids and liquids with LDC and clients .
Ensure weighbridge calibration done on time and inspection .
Qualifications :
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience with the Weighbridge systems and stocks management .
Knowledge:
- Good knowledge of the agri-food sector palm oil and the sites logistics rules.
Education:
- BTS in Commercial Management / BTS in Logistics
Languages:
Systems:
- TMS Windows and weighing systems
Technical/functional skills:
- Commitment to complying with procedures and policies and applicable legislation.
- Ability to understand the risks and precautions associated with equipment in their area of responsibility.
- Ability to use common language skills for reading and verbal communication.
- Ability to interpret information presented on the computerized control system and information gathered during regular visual inspections of the physical operating condition in the field and to use this information to make appropriate decisions that will achieve quality objectives efficiency and meeting performance targets.
