Position Description

As a Technical Lead in Infrastructure Services youll provide hands-on technical leadership across KiwiRails core infrastructure platforms particularly in the Netscaler ADC space. Youll design and deliver secure reliable and scalable systems that support critical operations leading the technical stream across projects while supporting businessasusual services.

Working closely with Architecture Cybersecurity Applications vendors and operational teams youll ensure infrastructure solutions align with KiwiRails ICT strategy and operational needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead technical delivery across infrastructure projects and operational services
  • Review and guide solution designs to ensure security resilience and cost effectiveness
  • Remove technical roadblocks and support teams through complex challenges
  • Support infrastructure across the full lifecycle from design to BAU handover
  • Champion best practice in automation monitoring cybersecurity and platform management

  • Experience with Citrix NetScaler / ADC and enterprise networking concepts
  • 710 years experience in enterprise infrastructure or platform engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with VMware HyperV Active Directory / Entra ID Exchange DNS/DHCP
  • Experience with Citrix NetScaler / ADC and enterprise networking concepts
  • Knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux environments
  • Experience delivering infrastructure projects endtoend
  • Working knowledge of Azure and hybrid cloud
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative pragmatic approach
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or ITIL or vendor certifications
