What Youll Do:

  • Write and test computer programs based on written and oral specifications

  • Assist in analyzing user requirements and documenting system processes

  • Participate in the design of user screens reports batch processes and database structures

  • Participate in system testing implementation and database development activities

  • Develop system documentation for system specification operational jobs and user guides

Minimum Qualification Requirements

At the time of application you must be a citizen national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major work in public or business administration accounting mathematics or a related field.


Substitution: Work experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree on a year-for-year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge skills and analytical ability normally gained from the attainment of a bachelors degree.

For example:


1. Four (4) years of professional work experience in any occupation may substitute for a general bachelors degree.

2. Four (4) years of general work experience (does not need to be professional level experience) in computer science information technology management information systems or a similar area may substitute for a general bachelors degree.

Education must have been completed at the time of application in order to be credited. Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United order to receive credit for the education a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program evidence of comparability or an original transcript.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Six months of stored computer programming experience.

Substitution: A Bachelors degree in Information and Computer Science (ICS) Management Information Systems (MIS) or a Computer Science/Information Technology related field from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university may substitute for the six months of stored computer programming experience.
