Job Summary

  • Act as Compliance Officer and/or Money Laundering Compliance and Reporting Officer for regulated entities as required.
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies where required and be able to represent MUFG with respect to regulatory dealings.
  • Work with the global Compliance team to develop implement and monitor Compliance Monitoring Plans (CMP) for all regulated/contracting jurisdictions to ensure appropriate controls are developed monitored in all regulated jurisdictions and updated to reflect changing regulatory and industry requirements. Where necessary add controls to monitor non-regulated jurisdictions for compliance with Group policies and procedures.
  • Keep abreast of and keep senior management informed of all relevant regulatory developments research the regulatory requirements and report on the potential impact thereof on the Companys licenses business or services.
  • Ensure there is a clear compliance culture adopted and upheld by the business and that all staff are advised of and kept up to date with compliance policies. This includes the development coordination and roll out in AML compliance initiatives such as training (annual and ad hoc as required).
  • Prepare management reporting and assist in the periodic reporting to stakeholders including the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) the Compliance Committee (monthly) Board of Directors (quarterly) Senior Management and the parent company (quarterly and ad hoc).
  • Ensure appropriate reporting escalation and recording of Incidents including regulatory breaches errors and complaints and promptly instigating action to remedy any deficiencies in the compliance arrangements.
  • Act as a global SME and point of contact/escalation for AML issues.
  • Manage coach and develop team members and other junior members of the department/company.
  • Any other ad-hoc projects and duties as required.

This role is a Controlled Function (CF) role under the CBI Fitness & Probity regime.


Qualifications :

Education Requirements

  • A relevant undergraduate degree or other third level qualification is preferred.
  • Currently have a formal qualification in Compliance e.g. ACAMS or CI

Work Experience

  • Minimum 10 years experience within Compliance/AML in the Funds industry
  • At least 3 years experience managing teams

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in Compliance 
  • Knowledge of fund administration business
  • Knowledge of financial services laws regulations and codes in Ireland and the Cayman Islands
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Microsoft Office: Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook
  • Project management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of EU US Australia Luxembourg and Singapore financial services laws regulations and codes.
  • Senior Management experience and experience managing cross jurisdictional teams.
  • Experience in engaging with and reporting to members of the C-suite and the Board members.
