Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Associate in Sandston VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech and telecommunications location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet and assist staff and visitors support access control activities and communicate clearly with site contacts and your Allied Universal team. You will work in a culture that is agile reliable innovative people first and grounded in teamwork and integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients employees and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas exterior grounds parking areas and perimeter points monitoring for unusual activity and conditions that could impact people property and operations.
- Control access at designated entry points by checking identification verifying authorization managing visitor sign-in and/or badging procedures and directing guests to approved areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including disturbances medical events and alarms and notify site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
- Complete routine reports such as shift activity logs incident reports and patrol documentation and communicate relevant information to oncoming personnel and site management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience with customer service is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
