Job Summary
Job Title: Interim Director of Pharmacy Behavioral Health
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM On-Call
Start: ASAP
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently hiring an Interim Director of Pharmacy / PIC for a behavioral health hospital in theBethlehem PA area. This position is ideal for an experienced pharmacist with inpatient experience who is comfortable leading pharmacy operations in a behavioral health setting.
This role includes both operational leadership and staffing responsibilities including supporting the setup and development of pharmacy processes within the facility.
Assignment Details
Start: ASAP
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
On-call: Required
Weekend Coverage: Order verification from home at 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM (approximately one hour each time)
System: Epic (training provided onsite)
Automation: Omnicell (experience preferred training available)
Setting: Behavioral Health Hospital
Key Responsibilities
Serve as Director of Pharmacy
Perform pharmacist staffing duties including order verification and dispensing oversight
Support pharmacy operations including medication ordering and Omnicell stocking
Attend leadership and operational meetings
Assist with new pharmacy program development including policies and initial setup
Maintain compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
Requirements
Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
Inpatient pharmacy experience required
Behavioral health experience preferred
Ability to work independently and support pharmacy program development
