We are hiring for a Service Associate - Tax.
As a Service Associate - Tax we rely on you to:
- Assist the Tax Manager in reviewing tax return filings prepared by hotel finance teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Verify supporting documentation and reconcile data provided by finance teams against compliance standards.
- Monitor and track submission timelines to ensure timely filing of tax returns.
- Support in tax audit coordination by helping to follow through with finance teams on timely submission of documents to tax consultants and examiners.
- Invoice vouching for tax compliance summarize findings and assist in coordinating corrections with the finance teams.
- Monitor new BIR regulations and provide concise summaries to ensure the team remains updated on current tax changes.
- Conduct preliminary research on tax legislation updates and prepare summaries.
- Maintain compliance trackers review logs and organized records of filings and audits.
- Provide operational support to strengthen controls and compliance monitoring.
We are looking for someone who:
- Must be a degree holder in Accountancy preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Familiar with BIR reporting e.g. for VAT EWT Corporate Taxation and others.
- With minimum of 1-2 years of experience mainly in tax and accounting.
- Has a good eye for detail and willing to learn unlearn and relearn.
- Communicates and writes with fluency in English (as well as the local language).
- Demonstrate high level of integrity and honesty.
- A self-starter and customer oriented.
- Displays initiative commitment to professional values.
