- Certifications:MandatoryPMP (Project Management Professional)orPRINCE2. Certifications fromUptime Institute (ATD/ATS)orCDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional)are highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge:Deep understanding ofMission-Critical Power(HV/MV UPS STS)Precision Cooling(Chiller/CRAH) andFire Suppression Systems. Familiarity withBIMandLEEDstandards.
- Leadership & Soft Skills:Strong stakeholder management skills to deal with global tech clients government authorities and specialist subcontractors.
- Language:Native or professional fluency inEnglish(written and verbal) is essential for reporting to international investors and operators.
II. Job Responsibilities
1. Project Governance & Strategic Execution
- Lead the project from site mobilization through toReady for Service (RFS)and final handover.
- Ensure the project complies withUptime Institute Tier III/IVdesign documents and local building codes.
2. Stakeholder & Contract Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client consultants and local utility providers (e.g. for power grid connection).
- Oversee contract administration ensuring all parties adhere to the scope of work and service level agreements (SLAs).
3. Integrated Cost & Schedule Control
- Work closely with thePlanning & Controlteam to ensure the project stays within budget (CAPEX) and meets all critical milestones.
- Approve major procurement strategies especially forLong-Lead Equipment (LLE)like Transformers and Generators.
4. Quality & Commissioning Oversight
- Drive theCommissioning Managementprocess ensuring all systems pass through Levels 1 to 5 (L1L5) including the Integrated Systems Test (IST).
- Enforce a Zero Defect policy for critical infrastructure to prevent future operational downtime.
5. Risk Management & Health and Safety (EHS)
- Implement a robustRisk Mitigation Planto handle technical financial and environmental risks unique to data centers.
- Champion a high-standardEnvironment Health and Safety (EHS)culture on-site as required by global technology standards.
6. Change Management
- Evaluate and authorizeVariation Orders (VO) ensuring that any changes in rack density or power requirements are technically feasible and financially accounted for.
