About the Role
As an English Teacher your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching English across Key Stages 35 including GCSE and A-Level.

  • Assessing student progress providing constructive feedback and setting clear learning objectives.

  • Contributing to curriculum development resource creation and departmental initiatives.

  • Leading or supporting enrichment activities such as reading clubs writing competitions and school productions.

  • Creating a stimulating inclusive and positive learning environment.

  • Collaborating with colleagues across the department and school to share best practice and support school-wide initiatives.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in English English Literature or a related discipline.

  • PGCE or QTS qualification.

  • Experience teaching English at secondary level including GCSE and A-Level.

  • Strong subject knowledge excellent classroom management skills and effective communication.

  • Passion for engaging students in literature language and critical thinking.
