About the Role
As an English Teacher your responsibilities will include:
Teaching English across Key Stages 35 including GCSE and A-Level.
Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to students of all abilities.
Assessing student progress providing constructive feedback and setting clear learning objectives.
Contributing to curriculum development resource creation and departmental initiatives.
Leading or supporting enrichment activities such as reading clubs writing competitions and school productions.
Creating a stimulating inclusive and positive learning environment.
Collaborating with colleagues across the department and school to share best practice and support school-wide initiatives.
Experience and Qualifications
Degree in English English Literature or a related discipline.
PGCE or QTS qualification.
Experience teaching English at secondary level including GCSE and A-Level.
Strong subject knowledge excellent classroom management skills and effective communication.
Passion for engaging students in literature language and critical thinking.
