Job Summary
Due to a very busy testing schedule we are looking for 3 Fixed Term Technicians to join our Microbiology Team based at our Lynfield Laboratory. These roles are expected to be required for 4 months. These opportunities sit within our Pathogens team. Successful applicants will be responsible for carrying out Microbiological analysis on routine samples and ensure our customers products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Your key duties will involve:
- Complete sample testing within the given turn-around-time (TAT)
- Strictly adhere to all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance procedures
- Ensure all relevant records are kept up to date at all times
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Participate and contribute to working safely
- Be actively involved in all the day to day improvement activities
Our laboratory is open 7 days a week and these roles will require people who can work Friday to Monday covering 32-40 hours. Flexibility to work overtime may also be required.
About you:
We want to hear from motivated individuals who are keen team players with a passion for providing quality customer focus. Ideally you will have/be;
- Recent graduate
- Experience in a similar environment or worked in Retail or Hospitality
- Passionate about Microbiology as a career
- Good hand and eye co-ordination
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent time management and organisational skill
- Clear communication (both written and verbal)
Qualifications :
BSc Microbiology or Food Science.
