Job Summary

Muscatine High SchoolsFine ArtsDepartment is hiring for aHS Color Guard position.

The candidate chosen for hiremust successfully complete a background check have completed Mandatory Reporter training and possess a Coaching Authorization issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners.

This position pays $2072.

Bilingual preferred or highly desirable. All positions are open until filled.

Develop and teach color guard choreography including flag rifle and dance movement.
Instruct students in proper technique and performance skills.
Prepare the color guard for marching band performances and competitions.
Work collaboratively with the band director and staff to support the visual design of the marching band program.
Supervise students during rehearsals performances and travel as required.
Assist with recruiting and developing new members for the color guard program.
Maintain and organize color guard equipment and uniforms.
Qualifications
Experience in color guard performance or instruction preferred.
Ability to teach equipment technique and choreography effectively.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work positively with students and staff.
