Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed K9 Patrol in Miami FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a government location where you will monitor assigned areas conduct routine patrols and maintain a professional presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns document activity and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees visitors and contractors at a government location by following Allied Universal procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter to help to identify and report suspicious activity hazards and policy violations.
- Control access through designated entry points by checking identification verifying authorization screening visitors and directing foot and vehicle traffic according to site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation when appropriate and coordinating with on-site personnel and/or public law enforcement.
- Complete routine and incident-related documentation such as activity logs and reports and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with training licensing requirements and post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
- Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
- Baton Certification is preferred.
- Guard Card or License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
