Position: Medical Assistant
Facility: Cedar Sinai Medical Network
Location: 23451 Madison St Torrance CA 90505
Pay range: $25/hr
Hours: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 18:30)

Assignment Duration: 13 weeks

12 hours non-billable orientation

Required Qualifications:

Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA AMCA AMT CCBMA or MMCI.
Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests taking blood pressure weight and temperature and reporting patient history summaries
2 years working as an MA
Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture
BLS

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years working as an MA in an outpatient surgical center
Experience with CS-Link/Epic
Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions
Phlebotomy certification
Understanding of medical terminology
Experience with medical insurance referral processes and benefit plans

Job Duties:

Greet patients take appropriate vital signs review current meds and record in the medical record
Assist with tracking and monitoring department-specific data
Explain policies procedures or services to patients based on scope of practice
Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
Administer immunisations injections or oral medications as directed by the provider
Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by the provider

Compensation: $25.00 per hour
