The Foster School is looking for an outstandingRecruiting and Admissions Coordinatorto join theSpecialty Mastersprogram team. The Specialty Masters program team supports multiple 1-year degree granting programs including Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) Master of Science in Finance (MSF) Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) Master of Science in Taxation (MST) and Master of Supply Chain Management (MSCM). These self-sustaining graduate degree programs train future business leaders.

As the Recruiting and Admissions Coordinator you will work in a small and collaborative team that seeks to enroll diverse and highly qualified students into the Specialty Masters programs. As part of the Recruiting Marketing and Admissions (RMA) team you will advise prospective and admitted students execute marketing and recruitment strategy support application management lead events and work with student and alumni ambassadors. This role works in close partnership with recruiting marketing communications and admissions leads supporting execution and student engagement across all three functional areas. This position requires strong people skills attention to detail and knowledge of university procedures rules systems and policies.

The position will interact regularly with other staff faculty prospective students and matriculated students in a wide range of advising and administrative tasks. The person in this position must be able to communicate effectively with students from widely varying academic backgrounds work experiences and nationalities.

Responsibilities:

Student Engagement & Advising (50%)

  • Serve as lead recruiter for the new Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program and support recruitment efforts for all other Specialized Masters programs.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for prospective students building ongoing relationships through individualized advising from initial inquiry through matriculation; provide guidance on program fit admissions requirements and next steps through one-on-one meetings (virtual and in person).

  • Guide prospective candidates through all stages of the recruitment and admissions lifecycle ensuring a consistent supportive experience from first inquiry through enrollment.

  • Respond to a high volume of inquiries related to program fees financial aid curriculum career services events and the application process.

  • Present information sessions and application workshops for prospective students.

  • Support the Student Ambassador Program by coordinating with student ambassadors to promote programs share experiences and provide peer insight to prospective students.

  • Coordinate prospective student class visits.

  • Represent the programs at recruiting events informational meetings and one-on-one meetings

  • Distribute prospective student communications including email campaigns and social media outreach.

Admissions Systems Data and Reporting (40%)

  • Administer the admissions application process and policies as determined by the leadership team ensuring compliance with UW Graduate School and Foster School policies and procedures.

  • Manage the intake of application materials and maintain confidential applicant data with a high degree of accuracy; track applicants throughout the evaluation interview and decision process communicating clearly and consistently until final decisions are released.

  • Maintain prospect and applicant data integrity within the programs CRM ensuring accurate timely and reliable information across all stages of the admissions lifecycle.

  • Support admissions recruiting and marketing communications activities through Salesforce by building and managing email templates event landing and registration pages automated workflows and standard reports.

  • Monitor program websites and make updates as needed to ensure information remains current and accurate.

  • Produce and update program marketing collateral including class profiles and program overview materials.

  • Conduct research and benchmarking for special projects as needed.

  • Identify and support special projects and other duties as needed in support of the programs.

Academic Support & Events (5%):

  • Participate in the execution of new student onboarding and orientation activities and events as students with their transition into a professional graduate program by helping them resolve challenges and connect them to campus resources.

  • Assist in coordinating events and day-of staffing for Graduation Dawg Dash celebration and other Specialty Masters events.

  • Support team administrative processes (e.g. course registration tuition posting course scheduling etc.) where needed.

Other Duties (5%)

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business social sciences education or related field.

  • Three years of experience in admissions advising marketing counseling or a related administrative role in an educational or professional setting

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except where there are legal requirements such as license/certification/registration.

  • Have strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills and can relate positively with culturally diverse populations.

  • Are a resourceful and creative problem solver.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage diverse work assignments and priorities that range in duration and time sensitivity to meet deadlines implement organizational skills and multi-task.

  • Have strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Are technologically savvy. Knowledge of Salesforce Slate or other CRM software systems are a plus.

  • Able to work occasional evening and Saturdays for program events and activities.
