GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Performs a variety of shipping and receiving clerical tasks. Compares identifying information on incoming and outgoing shipments with purchase orders packing lists shipping reports or other documents. Performs material handling functions as Shipping/Receivingo Prepares Daily Shipment Paperwork.o Ship orders in the computer system that have been prepared.o Prepares shipments for UPS/FedEx and DHL.o Prepares and prints bill of lading. to ensure quantity destination and etc. are accurateo Export documentation and logistics as neededo Prepares all labels (shipping box barcode and warning) for shipping.o Receive all incoming freight into ERP.o Coordinates/Perform inbound inspectionso Maintains files.o Operates office machinery.o Active participation in committeeso Active participation in continuous improvement I Powero May operate forklift as needed Warehouseo Receives and store raw materialo Distributes requested raw material to production associateso Organizes and maintains warehouse Productiono Assists in machine operation as necessary Inventory Managemento Cycle Countingo Schedulingo Completiono Reconciling varianceso Investigating and long term corrective action on discrepanciesPREFERRED QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE: Previous shipping/receiving experience &/or CERTIFICATIONS: High school Diploma or GEDSPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE &/or SKILLS:Location: NJ NC GA FT PT Type: Exempt/Salaried Hourly DATE WRITTEN/UPDATED: Written: 7/19/17 Update: Ability to measure and weigh. RF scanner and ERP/MRP experience preferred. Proficiency in basic mathematical skills to include addition subtraction multiplication and fractions to be able to calculate square footage etc. Must be able to read a ruler to within 1/16 of an inch and accurately use a calculator to measure and calculate. Computer proficiency with MS Office. Forklift certification preferred.
