Event Lead
Job Summary
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories provides complete power system protection control monitoring automation security and integration for utilities and industries worldwide. We are looking for Event Lead to provide technical support to customers. A successful candidate must have knowledge and experience in event management.

As an Event Lead a typical day might include the following:
1. Use data analysis and experience to lead the planning organization communication and execution of all deliverables to produce high-quality events.
2. Organize and communicate activities of R&D Marketing Sales & Customer Service Facilities Security and other departments as necessary to meet event objectives.
3. Proactively monitor events using appropriate metrics and provide timely reports to cross-functional teams and/or management.
4. Negotiate contracts for event space catering audio visual or other event needs.
5. Make independent decisions regarding all on-site logistics during events while weighing impact based on overall knowledge of policies and procedures.
6. Manage multiple events and assist with large events with limited supervision.
7. Professionally interact with both internal and external customers.
8. Mentor other staff as needed.
9. Follow and apply SEL Values Principles of Operations and World Class Manufacturing principles.

11. Other duties as assigned.
This job might be for you if
Related degree or equivalent experience
Minimum three years experience coordinating events
Proficient in MS Word Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent organization skills
Strong writing documentation and speaking skills
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment as well as independently
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Willingness to travel
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications
Past experience as an events coordinator for a high-tech company
Project management experience
