PML Professional Mechanical Ltd. is Western Canadas leading company for HVAC plumbing boiler mechanical service and fire protection. From major construction projects to regular service work to the safety provided by our fire protection division we approach our work with an industry-leading commitment to excellence and a keen awareness of our customers business needs.

We are currently recruiting for a CWB Welding Supervisor acts as the technical authority for all welding operations. You will ensure that our facility remains compliant with CSA W47.1 and W59 standards while managing shop floor productivity quality control and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Compliance Management: Act as the primary liaison for CWB audits and maintain all required documentation and welder qualification records.
Operational Oversight: Coordinate daily welding tasks assigning work based on project priority and staff certifications.
Quality Assurance: Perform visual inspections of all welds to ensure strict adherence to project drawings and approved Welding Procedure Data Sheets (WPDS).
Technical Mentorship: Provide guidance on welding techniques (SMAW FCAW GMAW) and oversee the testing of new and existing welding personnel.
Safety Leadership: Enforce all site-specific safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.

Qualifications

Certification: Must hold a valid CWB Welding Supervisor Certification (CSA W47.1).
Experience: At least 5 years of welding-related experience with a proven track record in a leadership or supervisory role.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret blueprints welding symbols and complex technical specifications accurately.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project managers engineers and clients.
