Job Summary
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health Hospitals/Elmhurst serving the culturally diverse community of Western Queens is seeking a full-time board-certified Psychiatrist for the position of Vice Chair for the Department of Psychiatry. We offer a full spectrum of services including: CPEP; Mobile Crisis Team; Adult/Child Inpatient Units; Womens Forensic Inpatient Unit; Adult and Adolescent Partial Hospital Programs; Ambulatory Adult and Child Programs; Chemical Dependency and Methadone Maintenance Programs; Assertive Community Treatment; Consult/Liaison; Collaborative Care and CATCH Programs.
Responsibilities
- Oversees all aspects of operations of the services and programs
- Leads the Departments Quality and Incident Review Committees
- Actively involved in psychiatrist recruitment
Qualifications
- MD/DO degree
- Board eligible or certified in Psychiatry
- Valid New York State License DEA and Medicaid number
- Demonstrated administrative and leadership experience
- Interest in teaching and supervision of residents is required
Compensation
We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medical at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials experience and qualifications. We also offer a collegial environment and competitive salary to include a sign in bonus along with full benefits. Bae compensation for this role is 345K to 345K. This is an excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplinary leadership team working with a diverse patient population in a major clinical and training institution.
