Assistant Family Support Specialist (Bilingual SpanishEnglish)

Salary will be $51000 per year (plus insurance and time off benefits)

Easterseals Florida is seeking a dynamic organized and detail-oriented individual for our Assistant Family Support Specialist position in Tampa for our Incredible Years program. The Incredible Years program supports children from ages 3 to 8 years old and their families providing group therapy sessions to aid in mental health intervention. The Assistant Family Support Specialist will serve as a facilitator of parent/guardian group and in-home sessions and child group and in-home sessions and ensure the compliance and overall successful achievement of grant deliverables.

A Snapshot of what youll do:

• Provide services at various locations throughout Hillsborough County (driving is an essential responsibility)
• Facilitate parent/guardian and children group and in-home sessions
• Work with community agencies and coordinate agency collaboration
• Market the Incredible years program to community agencies and families
• Assist in and attend community outreach events at schools family information fairs open houses disability resource events and family nights
• Establish a comfortable group environment
• Encourage positive group interaction keeping the focus of the conversation on the situation or issue
• Support the objectives and philosophy of the Incredible Years program and Easterseals Florida

Qualifications:

• Bilingual Skills (Spanish/English)
• Bachelors Degree in social work psychology early education or a related field
• Minimum one-year direct experience in a related field
• Excellent customer service skills
• High degree of accuracy attention to detail and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented self-starter who can efficiently handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• An energetic and professional individual who will promote a positive respectful and team-based environment
• Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle as required for program related business (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)
