Salary: Up to 25.00 per hour (depending on level of experience training and qualification)
We have an opportunity for a Registered Childrens Nurse to join their team of staff in thenursingdepartment.
This is a bank role working on an as and when required basis you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties of this role include:
- Deliver age-appropriate evidence-based nursing care for children across a range of clinical settings.
- Monitor and respond to changes in condition escalate concerns and carry out clinical observations treatments and interventions safely.
- Work in partnership with families and carers providing information reassurance and emotional support throughout the care journey.
- Involve parents in care planning and discharge preparation recognising their role in supporting recovery and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with medical teams allied health professionals and safeguarding leads to ensure coordinated care.
- Contribute to handovers case reviews and MDT meetings to ensure continuity and safety.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse (Children / Paediatrics) with valid NMC registration.
- Experience delivering nursing care to children and young people in hospital or community settings.
- Strong communication and family liaison skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emotionally sensitive environment.
- Understanding of safeguarding child development and family dynamics.
