Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program) provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. We work alongside Poche SANT focussing on Indigenous leadership capacity development and developing the Indigenous health workforce. All activities are driven by our values which focus on the long-term and short-term needs of the NT community.
About the Role
This position provides highquality administrative operational and project support to senior public health researchers working across Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health rural and remote health and health equity initiatives. Working under routine to general direction you will play a key role in contributing to research project activities supporting grant and ethics submissions nurturing stakeholder relationships and maintaining smooth daytoday operations. The role suits someone with strong communication skills excellent organisation and experience working collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations.
Provide efficient administrative financial and executive support across multiple research projects
Coordinate meetings preparing documentation and supporting grant ethics and manuscript submissions
Liaise effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders including community organisations
Support event coordination travel arrangements purchasing card reconciliation and general project operations
This position makes a significant contribution to the Universitys strategic plan to changing 10 million lives Every One Matters by 2035 through directly contributing to the strategic driver of Research that Matters by enabling impactful public health research that improves health equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and rural and remote populations.
About You
You are an organised and proactive administrative professional who enjoys supporting research teams and working in a dynamic environment. You bring strong communication relationshipbuilding and problemsolving skills along with the ability to manage competing priorities with attention to detail. Your background includes experience in administration event planning or project support and youre confident using a range of digital tools. You are committed to culturally safe practice and contributing positively to research that supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads meet deadlines and use initiative effectively
Experience providing administrative support to specialised teams including sound judgement and problemsolving capability
Welldeveloped communication and interpersonal skills enabling positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency with administrative and financial systems Microsoft Office and Teams and experience planning events or functions
