Head of Compliance Nordics
As the Head of Compliance for the Nordic region you will lead the entire compliance agenda across Sweden Denmark and Finland while also carrying indirect responsibility for Norway. You will oversee all compliance activities for the DLL group entities in the Nordic region with a particular focus on Financial Crime Compliance ESG Conduct and Privacy. Based on Nordic compliance risk assessments you will allocate resources in close collaboration with the Nordic General Manager.
Beyond your regulatory responsibilities you will act as a strategic partner to the business offering pragmatic riskbased guidance that supports responsible growth. You are expected to understand commercial drivers translate regulatory requirements into clear advice and help the organization balance compliance expectations with operational needs. Together with the Nordic Management Team you will promote a unified compliance culture and ensure consistent standards across the region.
You will collaborate closely with Compliance colleagues across Europe contributing to the maturity and development of compliance practices in the region. The position is based in Sweden and reports directly to the Nordic General Manager with a functional reporting line to the Head of Compliance in Europe.

Key responsibilities:
- Integrate and maintain a coherent compliance risk management framework across the Nordic region ensuring alignment with global policies and standards.
- Lead local compliance initiatives and oversee the execution of the Local Compliance Annual Plan (which is linked to the Regional and Global Compliance Annual Plan).
- Manage regulatory and compliance incidents including policy breaches and ensure appropriate escalation and followup.
- Provide strategic riskbased guidance to the business on core compliance areas such as financial crime privacy and greenwashing.
- Build and maintain a strong transparent relationship with local regulators and ensure effective regulatory communication.
- Communicate Global Compliance MT decisions to Nordic stakeholders and execute resulting directives.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators in line with annual plans budgets and strategic objectives.
- Lead coach and develop the Nordic Compliance team to strengthen capabilities and performance.
- Conduct secondline monitoring activities address control deficiencies to the business provide recommendations on improvements.
- Conduct secondline privacy reviews including assessments incidents and related matters.
- Partner with HR and the Global Speak Up Committee on investigations and promote ethical behavior and adherence to the Code of Conduct.
Essentials:
- Formal university degree preferably in law
- 8 years of experience in compliance risk legal or similar functions within a bank or financial institution
- Excellent command of Swedish and English
- Previous managerial experience is an advantage
- Experience working in an international matrix organization is strongly beneficial
