This role will assist with instrumentation calibration test setup data acquisition and automation related projects within the HVAC research position provides hands on exposure to automation systems testing infrastructure and engineering development activities while supporting the R&D team in maintaining efficient and accurate testing environmentsThe successful candidates responsibilities will include:Assist with setting up and dismantling performance tests for HVAC productsAnalyze test data and assist with identifying potential design improvementsSupport engineering teams with test execution and field support testingMaintain and calibrate testing instruments for pressure airflow and temperature measurementsDesign and build custom test fixtures for R&D projectsResearch and apply industry testing standards to laboratory experimentsDevelop and document laboratory procedures to standardize testing workflowsAssist with upgrades to laboratory infrastructure and data acquisition systemsTroubleshoot testing anomalies and support test system improvementsGenerate catalogue performance data and support reporting activitiesThe ideal candidate for this position will have:Foundational knowledge of control and automation principlesUnderstanding of HVAC variables such as airflow velocity humidity and powerBasic familiarity with LabVIEW for data acquisition and instrumentation controlAbility to interpret technical standards and documentationHands on experience using tools and building test setups is an assetSelf motivated with the ability to take initiativeHighly organized with strong attention to detailCollaborative and able to communicate effectively with team membersAdaptable to changing priorities within a research environmentInterest in automation systems and engineering developmentEducationCurrently enrolled in a Control and Automation Engineering or Technology programPrice Industries Limited hires on the basis of merit and is strongly committed to equity and diversity.
