About the Role

The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated and organised Business Administration Support professional to join our Family Violence Team in Tasmania. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of administrative services that support our mission to provide highquality assistance to individuals and families experiencing family violence. This parttime position (15 hours per week) is based in Southern Tasmania and is offered as a fixedterm contract until 30 June 2026 with remuneration at SCHADS Level 3.1.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Provide daytoday administrative support to the Family Violence Team
  • Maintain clear and professional communication across the service
  • Accurately record meeting minutes and manage sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Update and monitor SharePoint and other internal systems
  • Support WHS compliance in line with legislation and TSA guidelines
  • Maintain organised financial and operational records including fleet management vouchers accounts payable and brokerage
  • Assist with IT support needs
  • Perform reception duties and manage visitor interactions professionally
  • Prepare highquality correspondence reports and documentation
  • Maintain accurate file archiving and ensure easy retrieval
  • Manage registers including asset registers and site location lists
  • Implement systems that promote clear communication and documentation
  • Provide a welcoming courteous and efficient presence for visitors

What You Will Bring

  • A relevant qualification in Business Administration (Certificate IV or Diploma desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative roles
  • Experience in the NFP or family violence sector (desirable)
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities
  • Proficiency in administration tools and software (Word Excel IT systems Canva finance processes security management)
  • Understanding of WHS responsibilities and commitment to safe work practices
  • A Working with Vulnerable Persons Card
  • A National Police Check
  • A current Tasmanian Driver Licence
