Senior Storage Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Systems Storage Engineer is expected to be able to accomplish the following:

• Architect and manage enterprise storage solutions (SAN NAS object storage) across onprem and hybrid environments.
• Design and implement storage arrays clusters and fabricarchitectures; create standard builds zoning and configuration baselines.
• Engineer performanceoptimized and secure storage environments including provisioning tiered storage strategies multipathing and IOPS capacity planning.
• Develop and implement replication strategies backup/restore processes and disaster recovery plans ensuring compliant RTO/RPO.
• Integrate enterprise storage with virtualization platforms (vSphere/ESXi vCentervSAN) backup platforms and cloudbased storage services where applicable.
• Conduct performancebaselining capacity forecasting data lifecycle analysis and storage policy optimization.
• Implement STIGcompliant configurations encryption certificate management and continuous compliance reporting.
• Automate storage provisioning and operations using PowerShell Python vendor APIs and configuration management tooling.
• Create andmaintainSOPs design documents runbooks and engineering diagrams.
• Lead troubleshooting sessions perform rootcause analysis and support change management processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cyber network and virtualization teams to support infrastructure modernization.
• Evaluate hardware/software offerings conduct costbenefit analyses present findings and support future technology insertions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• ActiveTS/SCI CI Poly clearance
• BS 10-12 years of relevant experience; MS 8-10; PhD 5-8
• One of the following DoD 8570/CS-NET-451certifications:
  • Security (CE)
  • SSCP
  • CySA
  • GSEC
• Expertlevel knowledge of SAN/NAS architectures storage arrays (e.g. NetApp Dell EMC HPE Pure) storage fabric technologies multipathing and highavailability design.
• Proven experience in multisite storage engineering with HA/DR replication snapshot technologies and performance tuning.
• Experienced with STIGs secure baselines auditing and enterpriselevel data protection frameworks.
• Deep understanding of storage networking (FibreChannel iSCSI) L2/L3 fundamentals and integration with enterprise virtualization stacks.
• Handson experience with backup platforms (e.g. Commvault Veeam Rubrik) and disaster recovery technologies.
• RMF training.

This roleis responsible forthe design optimization lifecycle management and modernization of storage infrastructures across multiple enclaves ensuring high availability data integrity resiliency and compliance with DoD security requirements.As theSenior Systems Storage Engineer you will serve as a technical leader and subjectmatter expert across storage engineering performance tuning replication disaster recovery and storage automation. This position plays a critical role in shaping enterprise storage strategy integrating with virtualization platforms and supporting hybrid architectures that enable DIAs mission.
