Position Summary

Were looking for a senior high-impact Account Executive to lead F5s growth across Spains Defence and National Security ecosystem. This is a strategic long-cycle role where trust matters as much as technical credibility working closely with senior customer stakeholders key systems integrators and internal specialist teams to land and expand mission-critical security and application delivery initiatives.

This is a strategic quota-carrying sales role focused on Spains Defence and National Security ecosystem. You will own a set of named strategic accounts and drive long-cycle high-impact opportunities by building executive-level relationships shaping value-based proposals and orchestrating internal and partner resources. Success requires strong account planning commercial discipline and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments including procurement and compliance constraints while expanding adoption across the F5 portfolio.

Scope

Coverage includes major accounts within the Spanish Defence sector and National Intelligence/Security agencies. You are the primary point of contact for the assigned accounts and will lead account strategy in coordination with internal teams and partners.


Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a set of named strategic accounts within Spanish Defence Intelligence and National Security agencies; meet and exceed annual quota targets.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships and multi-threaded engagement across technical operational and procurement stakeholders.
  • Drive complex opportunities end-to-end: discovery value narrative deal strategy partner alignment commercial negotiation and procurement orchestration through close.
  • Develop and execute account plans that align customer mission priorities with F5 capabilities across application delivery security and automation.
  • Prepares formal proposals and presentations presents to all levels of the organization including executives leads negotiations coordinates complex decision-making processes and overcomes obstacles to closure and closes sales in a professional and effective manner.
  • Responsible for significant key partner relationship management and development. Facilitate executive-level relationships between the customer F5 and its partners including facilitating communication on strategic and tactical issues and maintaining continuity
  • Has credibility to influence at senior levels within named accounts e.g. Senior Executive/Board/Chair.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting in Salesforce; communicate risks deal health and mitigation plans with consistency and transparency.
  • Stay current on relevant regulatory compliance and market developments impacting national security environments and incorporate them into the account strategy.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience selling into Spanish Defence and/or National Security environments with a track record of closing complex long-cycle deals
  • Strong enterprise sales execution: territory/account planning multi-stakeholder management negotiation and forecasting discipline
  • Experience selling cybersecurity networking application infrastructure or adjacent enterprise technology solutions (vendor and/or SI background)
  • Demonstrated success selling with and through partners (Systems Integrators integrators/primes VARs)
  • Fluency in Spanish and professional working proficiency in English
  • Ability to travel within the territory as required
  • Experience with public procurement/tender processes in Spain and operating in regulated or sensitive environments
  • Relevant security clearance or eligibility to work in sensitive customer contexts
  • Preferred: Familiarity with F5 technologies or adjacent domains (application delivery application security API security WAAP zero trust)

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This is a hybrid role combining time between home and the office with a minimum in-office presence as required by local policy. You may also work on-site at customer and partner locations. The role requires regular use of a computer and phone and travel within Spain (and occasional travel outside the territory as needed). Flexibility to support customer and business needs outside standard working hours may be required.
