ABOUT ARCTIC OIL & GAS SERVICE INC.

Arctic Oil & Gas Services Inc. (AOGS) provides integrated camp catering logistics and workforce support for industrial exploration military and construction clients operating in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region and adjacent northern areas. AOGS maintains disciplined operational readiness across staffing travel health and safety compliance and financial controls with an emphasis on supporting Inuvialuit employment and community participation in northern operations and ensures consistent implementation of IRC/IDC policies procedures and employment standards across all AOGS operations. AOGS includes Forward Operating Location (FOL) capability that enables rapid safe and compliant deployment of people equipment and services to remote camps and sites.


JOB OVERVIEW

The Manager AOGS provides senior operational leadership and business stewardship for AOGS ensuring safe compliant and high-quality delivery of camp catering logistics and related workforce support services. The role is accountable for operational execution financial discipline workforce readiness client satisfaction and governance-aligned controls consistent with IDC expectations. The Manager AOGS leads in a dynamic contract-driven environment where service continuity safety performance and disciplined planning are critical.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operational Leadership & Service Delivery: Provide overall leadership and accountability for AOGS operations ensuring safe reliable and highquality delivery of camp catering logistics and workforce support services across multiple remote sites and contracts. Establish clear operational expectations maintain readiness and respond effectively to changing conditions while ensuring service continuity and client satisfaction.
  • Financial & Business Performance: Manage operational financial performance including budgeting cost control forecasting and margin management in alignment with IDC governance and delegated authority. Monitor financial risks related to seasonality staffing and contract scope and implement mitigation strategies to support sustainable operations and disciplined performance.
  • Client & Contract Management: Serve as the primary client liaison building and maintaining strong working relationships. Ensure contractual obligations and service standards are met support contract renewals and service enhancements and contribute to proposal development and business growth initiatives in collaboration with internal partners.
  • Workforce Leadership & Inuvialuit Employment: Lead workforce planning supervision and performance management ensuring appropriate staffing training and onboarding for remote operations. Promote respectful workplace practices support employee development and advance Inuvialuit employment and participation consistent with IRC and IDC objectives.
  • Health Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Champion a safetyfirst culture and ensure compliance with all applicable health safety environmental and regulatory requirements. Oversee risk management practices appropriate to remote and industrial operating environments ensuring incidents are addressed and corrective actions implemented.
  • Governance Planning & Continuous Improvement: Ensure consistent application of IRC/IDC policies procedures and controls across AOGS operations. Implement planning reporting and performance monitoring practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency quality cost discipline and operational standardization. Collaborate with Finance HR Procurement and other corporate functions to support compliant and effective operations.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in business operations hospitality logistics or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and senior experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience in operations (camp operations remote services logistics facilities hospitality or related environments).
  • Demonstrated financial literacy and experience managing budgets cost control and performance reporting.
  • Experience leading multi-site teams and/or remote-site operations is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in safety leadership and regulatory compliance in operational settings.
  • Experience working in northern Indigenous or community-based contexts is an asset.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain safety certifications (e.g. First Aid/CPR WHMIS).
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Secret security clearance as required by contract or site access requirements.
  • Valid Class 5 drivers licence and ability to travel frequently to remote sites

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • The position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
  • Based in Inuvik NT with regular travel to remote camps and FOL sites by small aircraft road or seasonal access as operations require.
  • Periods of extended or irregular hours during mobilizations demobilizations and incident response; occasional on-call requirements aligned to operational needs.
  • Work occurs across office and field environments including exposure to northern weather remote accommodations and limited on-site amenities.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a high-urgency high-risk environment where administrative accuracy directly affects pay safety compliance and client confidence.
  • Short-notice travel and multi-day stays at camp locations may be required.
