Your role at St John of God Berwick Hospital
We are currently recruiting a permanent part-time Critical Care Registered Nurse (60 hours per fortnight) working 12-hour rotating shifts.
This role is based in our Critical Care Unit where you will care for patients with complex cardiac conditions and highacuity needs including those in the Intensive Care and High Dependency units. Our team is highly skilled in critical care providing advanced nursing interventions continuous monitoring and specialised patient support.
The Position
Embrace competency-driven practice utilising nationally recognised competencies to support critical care delivery
Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans following assessment of patient condition and risk
Involve patients and where practicable their families in the planning of their care
Ensure all documentation relating to patient care and clinical pathways is accurate and compliant
Provide safe holistic and evidence-based care in accordance with professional and organisational standards
Participate in professional development in-service training and ongoing education opportunities
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and infection management programs
Maintain technical skills relevant to Critical Care and act as a positive role model within the team
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse along with postgraduate qualifications in Critical Care Nursing with recent experience in a critical care environment (Cardiac High Dependency or Intensive Care).
To succeed you will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a multi-disciplinary team with excellent clinical analytical and teamwork skills.

Salary: $ 81995 to $ 103482 per annum (pro rata for part time) plus 12% superannuation
