The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy Rutgers University invites applications for a full-time teaching position in Health Administration with appointments expected to begin July 2026. The school offers an established undergraduate Health Administration major leading to a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree a Master of Health Administration (M.H.A) degreecurrently accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education ( CAHME ) and ranked #28 in U.S. News & World Reportand recently launched a Doctor of Health Administration (D.H.A.) program in Fall 2025. The position is a non-tenure-track multi-year teaching appointment. Applicants should have both academic experience and professional experience in health administration. Expectations of Teaching Faculty Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and student advisement. Evidence of ongoing engagement in health administration through exemplary practitioner experience. Active participation in curriculum design and course development. Meaningful service to the University School and/or the health administration profession.
Preferred Qualifications
A Ph.D. DrPH. or D.H.A. is strongly preferred; however other terminal degrees in Health Administration or a related field from an accredited institution with prior full-time academic experience will be considered. Successful candidates will demonstrate: A strong record of teaching excellence preferably in both classroom and online environments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A record of success in advising and mentoring students and contributing to departmental and/or university committees. The ability to remain current and relevant in the field through active practice engagement.
