Basic Job Functions:
The responsibilities of the Production Lead include but are not limited to: being a positive member of the leadership team at NTSIN being an active participant with developing teammates within our culture monitoring machine loading to ensure proper flow of product throughout the department as well as overseeing and training teammates on the line. This position is also responsible for communicating information to other departments and teammates as it relates to production. The Production Lead is responsible for establishing and setting the production pace maintaining efficiency and ensuring quality on the line. Additional responsibilities will include filling in for other positions on the line and for the Supervisor as necessary.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Competent with Microsoft Office software programs.
- Minimum 6 months experience in steel manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Tower fabrication processes and procedures.
- Previous leadership experience
