As a Security Officer - Industrial Yard Patrol in New York NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a premier commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine foot patrols stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and respond to guest and tenant needs with professionalism. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants visitors and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures access control practices and post orders at a commercial property location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner initiating notifications documenting actions taken and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas including common areas parking areas and perimeter points while watching for unusual activity and policy violations.
• Monitor building activity and security-related systems as assigned assist with credential verification and visitor processing and help manage deliveries and service provider access per site policy.
• Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or property management and help coordinate follow-up actions when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
