Job Description:
Security Clearance:
Education/ Certification Mandatory:
- At least a Bachelors degree in STEM field with preference given to fields related to a core area of FIRB cybersecurity and technology interest.
- Widely recognized certifications such as the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) may substitute for 1 year of work experience depending on the level and relevance.
Work Experience Mandatory:
- May substitute at least 10 years of work experience in cybersecurity controls/system implementation and/or cybersecurity auditing and compliance for the bachelors degree.
- At least 8 years of work experience in cybersecurity controls/system implementation and/or cybersecurity auditing and compliance or other related fields.
- Must have and maintain at least one active (in good standing) cybersecurity certification for which a test is required.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research and analysis in an area related to core FIRB area of cybersecurity and technology interest.
- Demonstrated analytic writing and communication ability.
- Possess TS/SCI clearance prior to starting work.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity risks associated with foreign investment transactions and provide specialized analysis supporting FIRB case reviews investigations and threat assessments.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities affecting networks data security and critical infrastructure systems and evaluate the potential consequences to U.S. national security. Assess cybersecurity controls audits and compliance with established mitigation agreements such as Risk Based Assessments (RBAs) Letters of Agreement (LOAs) and National Security Agreements (NSAs) and recommend improvements when mitigation capabilities are insufficient.
- Develop risk evaluations and mitigation strategies for complex or novel cybersecurity issues analyze cybersecurity trends relevant to FIRB mission areas and produce written analytical products and briefings that translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for government stakeholders.
