Position Summary
The Vice President Biomedical Services is a key enterprise executive responsible for setting the strategic direction for Biomedical Services medical equipment planning technology management and lifecycle optimization across the organizations hospitals and clinics. This leader ensures exceptional equipment performance operational reliability safety and technology advancement in alignment with the organizations mission and the five-year HDF deployment
plan. The VP will drive enterprise standardization strengthen clinical integration and lead a high-performing team that supports patient care through world-class Biomedical Services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Define lead and execute the enterprise-wide Biomedical Services strategy aligned with organizational goals and the HDF deployment five-year plan.
- Translate long-term strategic objectives into operational roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
- Leverage data-driven forecasting and inventory strategiesincluding medical supply CPT optimization and supplier collaborationto maintain optimal stock levels and improve fulfillment efficiency in partnership with Supply Chain.
- Lead the transformation of inventory management systems and processes to optimize accuracy availability and efficiency of biomedical equipment and supplies across the enterprise.
2. Service Excellence
- Provide executive oversight of all Biomedical Services functions across hospitals and clinics.
- Ensure consistency safety regulatory compliance and operational efficiency in equipment performance and availability.
- Drive a service culture focused on reliability responsiveness and clinician support.
3. Financial Stewardship & Asset Optimization
- Lead enterprise capital equipment planning acquisition lifecycle management and replacement strategy.
- Oversee Biomedical Services budgets operating expenses R&M expenditures and costcontrol initiatives.
- Transform inventory management processes and systems to optimize utilization reduce waste and support cost-effective operations.
- Maximize asset utilization and extend equipment longevity through strategic maintenance practices.
4. Technology Innovation & Advancement
- Identify evaluate and implement emerging biomedical technologies that enhance patient safety clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Advance smart-device initiatives and integration of connected clinical equipment into the broader digital ecosystem.
- Serve as the executive champion for innovation in Biomedical Services technology adoption.
5. Performance Management & Standardization
- Establish track and govern enterprise KPIs related to equipment deployment service quality response times maintenance performance and R&M costs.
- Standardize processes tools and service expectations across all facilities.
- Partner with GVPOs and operational leadership to set and achieve group targets.
6. Clinical Integration & Collaboration
- Collaborate with clinical IT and operations leaders to ensure Biomedical Services systems and equipment are fully integrated into clinical workflows and data environments.
- Support regulatory readiness accreditation requirements and compliance with all federal state and industry standards.
- Act as a bridge between clinical teams operations and technology functions.
7. Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead mentor and develop a high-performing Biomedical Services team across the enterprise.
- Promote a culture of innovation accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Build leadership bench strength and elevate talent across the Biomedical Services organization.

Education & Experience:

- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Biomedical Services clinical engineering or healthcare technology management.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-scale Biomedical Services programs across multisite health systems.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning capital equipment lifecycle management inventory transformation and large team leadership.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of healthcare technology medical equipment regulatory requirements and industry standards.
