(HX26-029) Academic Clinical Lecturer Trinity College Dublin

1.0 WTE (39 hours)
Fixed Term duration contract (36 months approx.)
Funded by Trinity College Dublin
Based in the Academic Department of Palliative Medicine Education & Research Centre Harolds Cross

The primary purpose of this position is to provide undergraduate education and training in palliative medicine to TCD medical students. The post holder will pursue a research interest leading to a higher degree (PhD or MD) and support the other research activities within the Academic Department of Palliative Medicine.

The post holder will engage in undergraduate medical curriculum development co- ordination and teaching and will work closely with the University College Dublin / UCD affiliated Clinical Lecturer.

Essential Requirements

Qualifications:

Hold a recognised postgraduate qualification accepted as an entry point to higher medical training in Palliative Medicine/other medical specialty.

Full registration in the General Specialist or Trainee Specialist register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland (or eligible for such registration)

Experience:

3 years post graduate experience
Experience of providing medical student education and training
