Brockton School is a nondenominational coeducational Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 independent school located in North Vancouver British Columbia. Outdoor Education Coordinator Full Time - 1.0 FTE September 1 2026 - June 29 2027
Reporting to Junior School Director and Senior School Director this position works collaboratively with the schools faculty and administration. This contract is 1.0 FTE the successful applicant will work Monday-Friday commencing September 1 2026 concluding June 29 2027 .
The Outdoor Education Coordinator at Brockton School leads a dynamic curriculum-linked program that complements the academic experience for students from JK through Grade 12. Tasked with overseeing program design staffing and logistics the Coordinator develops age-appropriate learning experiences ranging from local day programs to backcountry adventures across Southwestern BCs varied landscapes. By focusing on environmental stewardship and leadership the role empowers students to practice authentic collaboration and safely explore lifelong outdoor pursuits unique to the North Shore and Lower Mainland.
Beyond administrative duties this position is deeply experiential requiring the direct teaching of outdoor skills to teach weekly classes and foster a culture of inclusivity and personal growth. The Coordinator is responsible for rigorous risk management and safety oversight of the Outdoor Education program while supporting students as they build confidence and achieve meaningful personal goals. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic educator dedicated to growing a program that balances adventure-based learning with a strong sense of community and teamwork.
Requirements:
2025-26 Example - For TQS Category 5 1.0 FTE (Step 0) $65202 to $107169 (Step 10) per annum
