At LCRA we are seeking to find a driven and detail-oriented individual for our Energy Services Electrician position at the Fayette Power Project. As a part of our maintenance team you will perform electrical maintenance in an energy services environment including troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment maintaining critical infrastructure and managing low/medium/high voltage equipment. You will be trusted to: - Install maintain remove inspect test and repair electric motors generators electrical circuit breakers condensers transformers switches communication systems and electrical and electronic control equipment and wiring. - Locate and repair failures in electrical and electronic circuits and equipment. Install test apparatus on all electrical equipment. Analyze and implement solutions to electrical and electronic control system problems. - Perform maintenance repair and operational/diagnostic tests as required on all power apparatus in power plants. Record test results. Develop and prepare summary of test results in reports. - Perform routine preventative maintenance and general upkeep of electrical and electronic equipment and test gear. - Read/interpret blueprints and drawings consult manuals parts lists etc. to assist in performing work. Keep drawings and schematics up to date and accurate. |
You qualify with: - Four or more years of experience in maintenance and/or construction of electrical power generation transmission distribution substation and control equipment and/or other types of electrical equipment including experience reading blueprints or other relevant experience. - A degree(s) in electrical power theory electronics instrumentation controls industrial maintenance or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience. - Class A Texas commercial drivers license or equivalent from another state required for incumbents with heavy equipment operation and transportation responsibilities. You are a great fit with: - Experience in an energy service environment. - Four or more years of experience in maintenance and/or repair of electrical equipment or other relevant experience. - Experience in conduit schedule for conduit and cable installation. - Experience in the assembly and installation of high voltage electrical equipment. - Knowledge of electrical circuit theory. - Knowledge of DC battery banks. - Knowledge of the National Electrical Code or National Electrical Safety Code. |
