The Volunteer Coordinatormanages the day-to-day operations of Fellos volunteer program. This position leadsvolunteerrecruitment onboarding training scheduling and engagement ensuring volunteers have a positive well-supported experience aligned with Fellos mission and culture. This role works closely with the Director of Community Engagement division/department heads and others tofacilitatevolunteer involvement and serves as a primary point of contact for volunteers ensuring consistent communication documentation and coordination. This position is a member of the Leadership Council.

The Volunteer Coordinatorwill manage all aspects of volunteer recruitment efforts including outreach application processing screening background checks and placementin accordance withFellos policies and procedures. This role develops andmaintainsup-to-date volunteer role descriptions in partnership with divisions and departmentsfacilitatesvolunteer matching and supportsspecial eventsand specialized volunteer initiatives. The position involves managing volunteer databases tracking volunteer participation hours and demographic data and collecting feedback about Fellos volunteer program from volunteers and divisions/departments. The Volunteer Coordinator ensures volunteer engagement practices align with Fellos vision mission and values and supports collaboration efforts including volunteer appreciation.



Qualifications

The ideal candidatebringsstrong communicationand interpersonal skills both informally and formally with an ability to connect and influence others. Theypossessdeveloped interview skills sharp discernment and the ability to execute good judgment. The successful candidatedemonstratesstrong reasoning and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and draw actionableinsight. They work collaboratively with diverse personalities and employee populations work well under pressure in an ever-changing environment and are proficient in Microsoft Word ExcelOutlookand CRM systems.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of volunteer management community engagement or related experience (bachelors degree preferred). The ability to drive is a requirementofthe position.

This position is full-time based at Fello at The Mall Annapolis with a typical work schedule Monday through Friday during Fellos office hours and regular evening and weekend hours asrequiredto support the volunteer program. This position includes regular regional travel and is eligible for periodic telework.
