Job Overview
Tekberry is seeking a reliable and motivated Logistics Technician to support material handling and logistics operations for our client a global leader in aerospace defense and motion control technologies. This role operates within a team-based manufacturing environment and supports production repair development and non-production (MRO) operations through physical and transactional logistics activities.
The Logistics Technician will coordinate the movement stocking and management of materials while supporting production schedules and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role requires strong collaboration with supply chain manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure materials are delivered efficiently and production commitments are met.

Responsibilities
Material Handling & Logistics Operations
- Perform physical and transactional logistics activities supporting production repair development and MRO operations
- Deliver materials to production areas and support floor stock replenishment and material stocking
- Receive incoming materials and coordinate packaging and shipping activities
- Maintain proper inventory management and material traceability
- Support internal transportation and driving activities for material movement across facilities
- Follow ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) handling procedures where required
Inventory & Systems Support
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update internal business systems
- Assist with tracking materials and production support documentation
- Utilize logistics and inventory software systems for material management
Equipment Operation
- Operate material handling equipment including:
- Manual and motorized pallet jacks
- Pallet lifters
- Fork trucks
- Hand tools and power tools
- Motor vehicles and other logistics equipment
Team Collaboration & Production Support
- Coordinate with Supply Chain Manufacturing Assembly & Test and Contract Administration teams to support production schedules
- Communicate status updates and coordinate schedule priorities to avoid delays
- Support cross-functional teams to ensure materials are delivered on time
Continuous Improvement & Team Initiatives
- Participate in team-based initiatives focused on improving safety quality delivery cost and lean performance
- Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Help implement process improvements designed to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency
Training & Leadership Support
- Assist in training and mentoring team members on logistics processes and procedures
- Support the development of team capabilities through knowledge sharing and process guidance
- Promote a positive collaborative team environment focused on accountability and performance
Must-Have Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in material handling logistics warehouse or manufacturing operations
- Ability to operate or learn to operate pallet jacks pallet lifters or forklifts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow process instructions
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and system updates
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in manufacturing or aerospace logistics environments
- Forklift certification or experience operating powered material handling equipment
- Experience working with inventory management systems or internal business software
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams in production environments
Work Environment
- 100% onsite manufacturing and logistics environment
- Shift schedule: Monday Friday 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
- Role requires standing lifting and frequent movement of materials
- Use of material handling equipment and lifting devices as needed
- May require occasional schedule adjustments to support production demands
