We have an opportunity for a Cardiac Physiologist to join their team of staff in theCardiology department.
This is a bank role working on an as and when required basis you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties of this role include:
- Perform and interpret a wide range of non-invasive cardiac investigations including resting ECGs Holter monitoring event recorders and blood pressure monitoring.
- Carry out and report on exercise tolerance tests (ETTs) tilt table testing and other functional assessments.
- Assist in cardiac catheterisation procedures including angiograms angioplasties and right heart studies.
- Conduct pacemaker ICD and CRT device checks and follow-ups in accordance with current guidelines.
- Accurately document all tests and results in patient records.
- Calibrate maintain and ensure the safe use of all cardiology equipment.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Current knowledge of a range of clinical specialties and developments in clinical practice.
- Experience of customer care including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
- A degree in Clinical physiology or equivalent / ONC / BTEC in physiological measurement and medical physics.
- Device or Echocardiography accreditation (BHRS/BHRE/BSE)
