Amazon MGM Studios Tech is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the BET (Business Engineering & Technology) team within the MGM Studios org in Bangalore. This role is a critical technical leadership position responsible for designing building and operating scalable software systems that power global content operations and studio workflows across Creative Development Sales & Licensing and Distribution.
As a Sr. SDE you will work closely with cross-functional engineering and business teams to deliver high-impact solutions spanning the full content lifecycle from greenlight and development through rights management licensing and global distribution. You will be a technical anchor for the team owning architecture decisions driving engineering excellence and mentoring junior engineers.

Lead the design development testing and deployment of large-scale distributed systems supporting Amazon MGM Studios global content operations across Creative Development Sales & Licensing and Distribution
Own end-to-end architecture for one or more product areas making sound technical trade-off decisions with long-term scalability in mind
Collaborate with product managers business stakeholders and partner engineering teams to translate complex studio workflows into robust technical solutions
Drive best practices across the team through code reviews design reviews and documentation
Proactively identify and resolve technical debt performance bottlenecks and operational risks
Mentor and grow SDE I and SDE II engineers on the team
Contribute to hiring by participating in interview loops and raising the engineering bar
- 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
