JOBSUMMARY:
Theprimary purpose of your job position is to assist the Director of Nursing indetermining the staffing needs of the nursing department and to ensure that therequired number and type of nursing personnel are available 24 hours/day 7days/week and to assure resident safety.
JOBDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
AdministrativeFunctions
Reviewthe staffing budgeted patterns of the nursing department. Review staffingmodel.
Maintaina daily staffing pattern consistent with budgeted LHPPD.
Participatein facility surveys made by authorized government agencies as requested by theDirector of Nursing.
Receiveschedules from RN Team Leaders and LPN Medication Managers who self-scheduleand integrate into the staffing schedule for the entire department.
Reviewthe finalized staffing schedule with the DON and post the schedule in alocation available to all.
Assistthe DON in preparing staffing reports from scheduling and time and attendancesoftware.
Notifythe DON when adequate staff is not available to meet resident care needs.
Ensurethat daily staffing and census is posted per state regulations.
JOBREQUIREMENTS:
Mustpossess an LPN Degree from an accredited college or university or be agraduate of an approved diploma program.
Musthave a minimum of one (1) year of nursing leadership experience in a clinical setting.
Musthave a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a staff nurse in a long-termcare facility.
Trainingin rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred.
