Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Officer in Norristown PA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a leading tech media and telecom location where you will conduct routine patrols remain highly visible and respond to security-related concerns with calm professional communication. You will support access control and incident documentation using site technology as needed. This post requires Act 235 qualification and offers a team-focused environment built on integrity reliability agility and innovation.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients employees and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures policies and emergency response activities as directed.
- Perform armed patrol duties and maintain a professional presence to help to deter unauthorized activity; conduct regular and random patrols of buildings critical equipment areas parking areas and the perimeter as assigned.
- Monitor access control points and visitor processing verify identification and/or credentials and manage entry and exit in accordance with site requirements for a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with on-site personnel and public emergency services when needed.
- Complete required reports and documentation communicate notable conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management and support investigations by preserving observations and records.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
