| Position Summary: | UDSL is seeking its next Leadership Honors Program Director to begin August 16 2026. The UDSL leadership honors program director primary responsibilities include: - Conducts LHP orientation in the Fall semester for new LHP students.
- Speaks with prospective LHP students when asked to do so by the Assistant Dean of Admissions.
- Monitors applications for the LHP program that may come to the Director.
- Responds to requests for promotional materials and updates about the program to the advancement office and to the UDSL in-house marketing/admissions department.
- Coordinates with Jordan Burgess and the Assistant Dean of Admissions to update the LHP program webpage content regarding policies and procedures. ( in consultation with the Dean/Associate Dean)
- Facilitates and coordinates the Judicial Mentorship program for LHP students in collaboration with a member of the judiciary. (Currently Judge Silvain)
- Organizes 6-8 Leadership Roundtable Speakers in collaboration with Governor Bob Taft each year. Speakers should be notable attorneys/judges and whenever possible UDSL alumni. The director must organize and facilitate each event. Members of the Deans suite attend the events when scheduling permits.
- Teaches an 8-hour leadership certificate program to 2 L leadership honors students utilizing the DISC assessment program. During the program 2 L LHP students engage in leadership activities and skill building and plan their leadership honors legacy projects for 3 L years. (Spring Semester- non-credit-bearing program)
- Teaches the 2-credit LHP legacy project course. The director then supports and supervises all projects. (Fall semester- 3 Ls take the course)

| Minimum Qualifications: | - Full-time faculty member at the School of Law.
- History of effectively working in cooperation with diverse groups and individuals
- Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to Catholic Marianist values and to the Universitys Mission on diversity and inclusion.
- Willingness and ability to work collaboratively with community leaders like Governor Taft in recruiting leadership speakers and members of our local judiciary like Judge Silvain on the Judicial Mentorship program.
- Willingness and ability to teach an 8-hour leadership certificate program to 2 L leadership honors students utilizing the DISC assessment program.
- Willingness and ability to teach the 2-credit LHP legacy project course.

- Experience teaching in the LHP program
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Effective oral communication skills
- Effective classroom management skills
- Commitment to breadth of education including educating the whole person in the Marianist tradition and a commitment of service to the community university and profession
