Our Lady of Hope Catholic School is seeking a part time licensed nurse (RN or LPN) for the 2026-2027 school year.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Conducts emergency care and first aid to students for accidents and illnesses during school hours
- Maintains detailed student health records regarding clinic visits medical difficulties of students screening results physical examinations and immunization records
- Ensures that state and local health requirements are met by students and teachers. Is knowledgeable about the contents of the Virginia School Health Guidelines
- Makes health appraisals through observation interview analysis of health records and consults with administrators faculty and parents
- Acts as a resource to faculty regarding health education
- Coordinates all health screenings (i.e. vision hearing)
- Keeps inventory and order supplies (within the budget allotted) when needed
- Follows the Universal Precautions and Bloodborne Pathogen requirements
- Respects the confidentiality of all students faculty and staff
- Accepts other miscellaneous duties related to health/clinic care as defined by the principal; helps with the front office as needed
- Conducts necessary faculty/staff training
