Job Summary

Our Lady of Hope Catholic School is seeking a part time licensed nurse (RN or LPN) for the 2026-2027 school year.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Conducts emergency care and first aid to students for accidents and illnesses during school hours
Maintains detailed student health records regarding clinic visits medical difficulties of students screening results physical examinations and immunization records
Ensures that state and local health requirements are met by students and teachers. Is knowledgeable about the contents of the Virginia School Health Guidelines
Makes health appraisals through observation interview analysis of health records and consults with administrators faculty and parents
Acts as a resource to faculty regarding health education
Coordinates all health screenings (i.e. vision hearing)
Keeps inventory and order supplies (within the budget allotted) when needed
Follows the Universal Precautions and Bloodborne Pathogen requirements
Respects the confidentiality of all students faculty and staff
Accepts other miscellaneous duties related to health/clinic care as defined by the principal; helps with the front office as needed
Conducts necessary faculty/staff training
